Guest and Tap Room

This project renovated an existing 2nd bedroom into a multifunctional guest room, tap room for home brews and lounge for quiet sitting.  Storage cabinets were built into the existing room’s irregularities and finished with wall paint and a baseboard to create a simple rectangular room.  The expanded thicknesses of the new “wall storage” contains the bar with beer taps, a murphy bed and storage closets, all of which are held and concealed when not in use.  The room is able to unpack these specific functions as each is required, creating a new space for each use.
